Jamboree is an app that allows you to travel the 3D environment of this digital world, and find events to join from parties to concerts to live stream performances. Thus, making new friends, stay connected to your society, and experience about the dynamic cultures from all places across different countries

Jamboree allows users the opportunity to host their own live streams, start their own event to showcase their unique culture with the rest of the world. Users have the whole world map at their finger tips to navigate and find many cultural and educational tours/events/etc without any geographic limitations

Jamboree offers the upgrade features for fans to easily engage and interact with their favourite artists, musicians and actors from official accounts through premium events such as Behind the Scenes Live Chats, official concert live stream, 1:1 chatroom, etc

Our app Jamboree is different than the other live stream apps such as Instagram or Zoom etc that are out there in the market right now. We have adopted the technology of using Augmented-eality (AR) through the inspirations from the two AR apps already launched in the current market, Pokemon Go and Facebook Spark AR.
Firstly, our app has a similar AR implementation as Pokemon Go's AR usage, where we use the augmented reality technology to allow users to navigate in this digitalized 3D map environment without any requirement of headset or phone accessories.
Secondly, we will implement Faceook's Spark AR technology, where it uses augmented reality in face filters creations. We will have the Spark AR plug-in to allow for a variety of filters, 3D filters, and even virtual backgrounds for users for customizable their looks during the live streams.

THE PROBLEM
Did your plans get traded off during this lockdown?
We all know that because of COVID-19, all of our social plans have been put on-hold, and the social aspect of the human experience has been undermined.
As we are all staying in our homes during quarantine, there must be a new innovation solution to allow everyone to still enjoy the joy of attending social events, travelling the world, and meeting new people. Jamboree was our creative solution, a new digital venue for all social events

THE PROCESS
During the process of building this app, we have came across many obstacles as we research for new technology, and adopt new innovative thinking to best address this problem we found.
After a semester-long of meetings and sketch-ups of ideas, we have decided to go with main themes of Social, Education and Entertainment for the app. We want Jamboree to digitalize the global world as 1 social-entertainment platform. Our goal is to bring users together, and allow them to explore without any geographic limits, find their personal tastes of live streams, share their culture with one another to produce a significant interactions and connect internationally

THE POTENTIAL
Jamboree has many potential for growth in the future. Augmented Reality is the tool that is bridging gaps by improving learning engagement and retention in real time, and it is estimated to grow from USD 10.7 billion in 2019 and projected to reach USD 72.7 billion by 2024. As well, not only do we have the potential to reach a diverse international base of users from all over the world. We will continue to work hard to reach out to celebrity influencers for the setup of official premium accounts, brands, partner up with Instagram, facebook, spotify and even youtube to allow for users to connect their socials, and select music of their choice during live video streams. In fact, globally, video traffic will comprise of 80% of all consumer internet traffic by 2021 which is perfect for any brand that is looking to advertise in an event hosted in our app that will assist our app growth tremendously.

Heidi Jiang
Hedy is a visual storyteller who’s also passionate about art and design. She enjoys exploring the world and creating videos while on the road. She is also interested in creative writing, and trying to break into screenwriting. She is a visual content creator and photographer based in Toronto, Canada.
Minhaj Monnan
These days, you can find Minhaj curating and writing television shows of comedic gold, penning poetic musings, participating in yoga and meditation, or reading picture books to his baby sister. He is a screenwriter, novelist, actor and wellness advocate based in Toronto, Canada.
Yunny Hou
Yunny is a visual storyteller who is passionate in social media marketing, graphic design, and creative content production. She loves to collaborate, discover new opportunities and share meaningful stories with different people, and she values in creating diverse content that can bring everyone’s cultures closer together. Based in Toronto and Vancouver, currently studies Media Production at Ryerson University
Avani Bhokardankar
Avani is an aspiring product designer and a realistic sketch artist. She likes to learn something new and explore her surroundings every time and try finding solutions to things to enhance them more. She is currently studying in Product designing at Parul university, India.
Karan Bhanushali
Karan is a first year student in Parul University pursuing “Product designing” as a Professional Degree Course at Parul University.He is a Professional photographer practicing product; human and abstract photography, other than that he is a guitarist who has been a part of school/ college bands and has performing at multiple platforms.
He is a team player and a energetic person believing in smart work rather than working hard.
Never settling down for anything else than great work is the way Karan functions .
Raag Bharati
Raag is a first year student at parul university , vadodara . He is studying Bsc. With animation and VFX . He is also very passionate about gaming and also thrives about professional gaming in future , also he is professional actor and has participated in short films and documentary and has hobby of photography . He is a hard working as well as smart working student .
